WORSHIP SERVICES & BIBLE STUDY

About Our Worship Service | 10 a.m. Sunday Mornings

Our primary worship service is called Holy Eucharist, although worshippers might call it by other names - Mass, Eucharist, Holy Communion or just plain "church" are probably the most common.  And while the smells, bells, music, colors, vestments, people involved or even the space used might vary, every service of Holy Eucharist has a similar structure.  It starts with opening words, a prayer of the day, one or two readings from the Bible, a psalm, a reading from the Gospels and a homily.  It continues with a statement of faith, prayers, a confession said aloud communally, and the exchange of the peace (which is usually a handshake or hug shared with your neighbors).  We usually take up an offering, and then the priest tells the story of the Last Supper, blesses the bread and wine, and invites everyone to share in communion.  After communion there is a prayer and a blessing.  You can find our services and prayers and blessings in the Book of Common Prayer.  Everyone is welcome to participate in our services. Just as you are.  We mean it.  You are welcome here.
